click here for 2009 promoThis project begins with the understanding that we need each other!

It also highlights the fact that Cancer, Aids, Als, Sickle Cell and other terminal illnesses are non-discriminatory! It doesn’t matter if you’re black-white, young-old, rich or poor!             However...There are some things that we can do to help overcome this face of adversity!

The ability to join together to help our “neighbor” is one of the things that signify a Link of Love.

2008 was a great year for DEOI org. in that the Links of Love events were tremendously effective! Each year, the L~O~L project has a 3-fold aim. May of 2008 began the series of outreach services with a God ordered walk from downtown Dayton, Ohio to Chicago, Illinois... followed by a Terminal Awareness Rally held at Omega Baptist Church and capped off with an exclusive banquet at Sinclair Community College (Understanding Diversity & Disparity in Leukemia/Lymphoma/Myeloma & Cancers). 2009 will be an even greater year for DEOI Org. in that the Links of Love events are now well recognized and welcome in many more hearts and homes. This years L~O~L project will begin in August with a local Celebrity auction for our charity... followed by the Barber and Beauty 3-on-3 basketball challenge and capped off with a exclusive banquet for Understanding Diversity & Disparity in Sickle Cell Anemia and the Bone Marrow registry.

Members from each city I stop by, joining me to the next city in a unified effort is another display of a Link of Love.  We want to let the world know that we not only care about each other…but, also that we don’t just “Talk the Talk....”    We “Walk the Walk!”
